Advent on Zrinjevac Zagreb

Zagreb – the best Christmas market in Europe

Are you searching for a romantic Christmas getaway? Well, search no more! For the third year in a row, Zagreb was declared the Best European Christmas destination. During the Advent season (this year from the 2nd of December 2017 to the 7th of January 2018), Zagreb transforms into a Christmas fairyland. We decided to check it out and we’re glad we did. <3 The city took our breath away with its countless magical sights, sounds, and smells. It offers a romantic atmosphere, mulled wine, delicious food, festive stands, high-quality crafts, a wonderful ice park, concerts, choirs, and numerous other events. Come and see for yourself! 😉

  1. Love your pictures! Christmas markets are so romantic, definitely the perfect getaway! Maybe Zagreb should be our option for christmas 2018 we are always looking for great vacation spots.
I can also recommend the Christmas market in Vienna the lights are fantastic there, they really put in lots of effort.

How long did you stay in Zagreb? Is a weekend long enough to explore this city?

    1. Hey, Kobe!

We live only 40 min drive away from Zagreb that’s why we visit it quite often. Even though Zagreb is a relatively big city, we believe weekend can be enough to see quite a lot. Based on our experience, 2 days are enough to see main attractions of basically every city in the world. 🙂

      Love
