Country Nr 58 – Angola

Country 58/196: Angola Destinations: Luanda, Viewpoint of the Moon Our visit to Angola turned out to be very diverse and productive. We managed to visit some of the country's top attractions, two orphanages, where we met some extraordinary people, to plant some trees, and to address one of the biggest issues in Luanda - litter, by organizing an extensive beach clean-up. We had a great time in Angola! :) What to do and what to see in Angola? Due to the long-lasting civil war, tourism in Angola is only starting to develop. However, the country has a lot to offer....

Country Nr 57 – Democratic Republic of the Congo

Country 57/196: Democratic Republic of the Congo Destinations: Goma, Nyiragongo volcano As Ebola continues to be an issue in the DRC, we decided to visit the country for only two days and to spend it in nature, far from the dangerous disease. The plan was to visit the DRC in December, but as Virunga National Park was closed from June 2018 due to some security concerns, we adjusted our plans and visited the first national park in the world in March. Our destination: the spectacular Nyiragongo volcano! ;) What to do and what to see in the DRC? The Democratic...

Country Nr 56 – Burundi

Country 56/196: Burundi Destinations: Bujumbura, Tanganyika Lake Since 2015, Burundi has been experiencing some political issues and uprisings, which is why the country is currently mostly closed for tourists. Obtaining a tourist visa was quite a challenge and as it's pretty expensive, we had to apply for the transit visa, which limited our visit to two days. We visited the former capital city and the stunning Lake Tanganyika and we soon realized that Burundi is a lovely country. However, as the country doesn't have a lot of visitors the people were staring at us a lot, which made us feel...

Povratek k Viktorijinim slapovom

Country Nr 55 – Zimbabwe

Country 55/196: Zimbabwe Destination: Victoria Falls As in Zambia, Victoria Falls are also the tourist capital of Zimbabwe. Naturally, we had to check it out. We just loved the falls so much in Zambia that we had to do it all over again. ;) And I'm glad we did, as we actually liked the Zimbabwean side of the falls even a bit more. It was a bit cleaner, a bit bigger, and a bit more 'touristy'-comfortable. Also, we visited the falls on a weekday, therefore it was significantly less crowded than the other day in Zambia. Besides, it's not just...

Country Nr 54 – Botswana

Country 54/196: Botswana Destination: Kasane, Chobe National Park, Ghanzi district We started off our adventure in Botswana with an unexpected encounter with a family of elephants and hippos. Then there was the epic visit of the wonderful Chobe National Park, and lastly, we even managed to visit the amazing San people, which was a great privilege and honor. Botswana, you rule! ♥ What to do and what to see in Botswana? Botswana is known for its many natural wonders, including the Okavango Delta, the Kalahari Desert, and the Chobe National Park.
